Windows XP - HELP ME!

Just a question, how do I make the Status bar in the Internet Explorer STAY THERE???? - I can click on View, the status bar, and it'll stay there untill I close the window, but when I close it and open it a gain, it's gone! - I've looked in the prefences and nothing. A mate at school also has the same problem. I'm sure there is a simple solution but then again this is me here...:dead:

Hi Pritesh,

How many IE windows do you have open when you turn the status bar on? IE remembers the settings of the IE window that you closed last. So, if you have a few IE windows open and you turn on the status bar on one IE window and then close it, the others that are still open won't have the status bar and then you close them it will apply to all new windows.

In other words, make sure only one IE window is open, set the status bar to on and then close the window. When you re-open IE the status bar should still be there.

Good luck! :-)
