It was half an hour late. but anyway, here's a write-up I did. Basically it has the 285 kW V8 and a lot more Caprice features like DVD system.
It says only 100 examples of the $85,990 limo will be built this year for Australia and New Zealand. The styling changes are obvious, and it is available with 18" or optional 19" Senator Signature alloys. Standard features include cornering lights, rear parking sensors, self-levelling rear suspension, 8-way adjustable front seats with active head restraints, 12-speaker Blaupunkt audio with in-dash six-CD stacker. Rear passengers enjoy 7" LCD screens built into the front seat headrests, individual headphones, and an overhead console for climate and audio settings. Sat Nav and sunroof are optional.
It is powered by a 285 kW/510 Nm V8, running though the same 4 speed auto as is available on the GTS.
They have botched the side view of the car, it looks way to square all over. Front on looks fine, rear looks awkward. Interior is horn, apart from dials, its a luxo car but the dials make it look try hard sporty car.
Engine needs to be that powerful to pull the hefa around, hehe...
Round the edges a bit more and it would be super sexy, much nicer than ugly fairlanes, why did Ford revert to the shape of the NA/C fairlane, *shudders*
Those times are awsome for an auto luxo barge, actually faster than GT! i'd love to see what times the clubbie pulls in vy2, september 4. on the looks front looks awsome, rear looks a bit iffy, interior looks the goods. wouldnt mind one.
