I think its fair to say that this forum is mostly made up of the opinions of men. But women are buyers of cars too, and i remember from an article (i think it was A Current Affair) that they usually have the final say on which car is bought when a couple is purchasing.
The single biggest factor was the styling of the car, inparticular the exterior. The majority couldn't care less about fuel consumption, how much torque it had and the other technical bits. All the cared about was if it matched the colour of their shoes
*insert chauvinistic insult here*
Now i think its fair from a males point of view that the BA is a winner in the style stakes, lets get a female perspective. Gather your girlfriend, wife etc. and get them to compare the VY with a BA and lets se who comes out on top in a pretty fickle audience
I'm fairly discerning about the female company I keep - I don't know any women who would even look at the inside of a Holden - they simply aren't interested in getting that close.
They all like the Japanese trinkety things though.
Girlfriend, holden girl (through parents and one eyed friends) - previously her fave car was VX clubby - rekons the BA looks very classy, Audi-like (another of her faves), sexy (insert many compliments here). She likes them a lot, especially ice mint silver. I think ford have won a new fan :)
Oh yeah and thinks the XR looks less 'arrogant' than the AUIII T series :)
