Woooohoooo - fixed my ever shaking steering wheel!!
I posted a while back how pissed off I was at the amount of shudder in my steering wheel above 90kmh, after spending hundreds of dollars on wheel balances in different places, the best I could achieve was 106kmh and fairly smooth with intermittent shakes.
Anyway, the problem actually lay with the calipers and rotors, i had two seized calipers which were running on the discs, which obviously overheated, warped and then proceeded to shake the wheel at high speed.
$400 later I have rebuilt the front calipers, installed slotted rotors and new pads and the car feels like new.
Doesn't pull to the left anymore, doesn't shake one tinsy bit at any speed legal and illegal, and it stops like Centre Link on a Friday afternoon!
I am proud to announce that I like my Ford again and don't wanna burn it and plan to keep it a while longer... forced in duction someone voted for (rollin) mwa ha ha harrrr....
