Yes, you need a video card with video out jacks. You local computer store will happily relieve you of some cash in exchange for one of them.

Try looking at Toms hardware for reviews of video cards.

Before I purchased one of these I would do some research. Pick some cards in your price range then search on the web for reviews.
I assume the rest of your machine is up to scratch as I wouldn't fit one to a celeron 300.

What's the reason for it? If it is to play DVD's on the TV, then I would recommend going to Crazy Clarks and buying a DVD player for $140. The results would be better. I have not seen many people running "TV out" that are really happy.

weve got a Pentium 3 600 (i think) and the main reason for wanting to use the TV is so we have a larger screen (weve got a spare TV) and we didnt want to have to buy a new screen. weve got a dvd player so it wont be for watching DVD's. just seeing if i would be better of buying a new screen or not.

You're better off buying a bigger screen. Text on your TV will look crap because of the 'scan lines' on the TV. I have a TV out card and only use the TV to watch DVD/VCD/downloaded movies and TV shows, and to play games. It's great for games, but normal computer usage on the TV will look crap.
