Hey, one of my mates asked me this and I'm not sure the answer.

I take it you mean SSS pulsar.. if so I would be very suprised if the EA didn't win. I know a stock MPEFI manual can beat a honda CRX (just)

I had one behind me for a while a few weeks ago, really had to boot it to leave him behind. I don't know what he had done to it.

To answer your question, yes the EA should beat it. If it didn't I'd really be asking questions or finding a box of matches.

Matches would be the option...to set the pulssar on fire though

I just looked at its drive ratio's and it seems to be nippy

4.1:1 final drive
3.06:1 1st
second drops off to 1.8:1 though

The SR20 is a pretty good engine, after all this engine also lives in the 200SX Turbo.

Depending on mods they can be made to fly, but stock form i'll put my money on the EA Multipoint 5 speed.

The times I have put a manual EA MPI at around 8 seconds 0-100, and the Pulsar at around 9 seconds. Both great cars in my opinion.

I'll take the Pulsar for power to weight. Those sss's can move! I'm assuming the Falcon is a 3.9!

power to weight is the same

(taking Power of sss to be 105kw and weight 1100 kg - falcon being 139kw/1450kg

You are probably right there but are the sedans and hatches the same. I'm sure they would be pretty close anyway. I would still lean towards the sss - rather I would take my chances in the SSS!
