This might not be too much of a comparison but which would u prefer for quicker launch as well as everyday driving.
lets just say we had 2 cars identical in every respect except one was fitted with 5spd man and 3.45 LSD and the other was fitted with 4sp auto in power with 3.7 LSD
which one do you think would get quicker launch and what would u prefer?

Manual with 3.45's for me...

Not sure which would be quicker to launce but I hate Auto's with passion

I reckon the manual will get off the line quicker, but would prefer the auto as a daily driver.

Have you got the gear ratios of gearboxes, you can do math would not be much in it I dont think.

I'm with you there lol... but i want my first car to be a manual, i like the idea of being able to dump the clutch at 2000rpm....

I recon the manual with the 3.45.

Gotta have a manual, doesn't feel like driving in an auto.

For quick launch, the manual. But the auto might be pretty close with the shorter final drive ratio as well. For everyday driving, the auto.
