Which would you prefer and why...

With so many lurkers in the barra discussions these days, i thought I'ld kick-start a V8 versus I6turbo discussion, just out of curiousity (and pure boredom!) to what the rev-head would prefer, and where the future lies. Lets just assume they are both the same price. What would you go for? Personally I'ld go for the BA XR8 Manual - only because I've always wanted a LOUD v8 under my physcotic powers (Muahahah). But it would be even better if it was a v8 turbo! best of both worlds!

Mmmm, this is all too hard, but I'm going the XR8.
XR6 would (could) be mod city though!

Something about hipo inline six's :s6:

I guess alot of younger (turbo honda ralliart vtec) generation ppl associate V8's with barge-like handling etc. I know that stupid but I'm young and I dont really care about 8's much. To be honest I'd love to see a 240kw N/A six. Natural Aspiration far more pure or something, im rambling...

Manual XR8 for me. That fabulous V8 rumble coming from the exhaust can't be beaten:s6: .
260kw and 500nm of torque. And there's no turbo lag:oo1: .

BOSS 5.4lt Quad cam V8 is mine
MkI BA XR8 with SS inductions, BMC air filter, Herrods Air Injection, Pacemaker extractors and cats back exhaust.

I'd go for the XR8 - cause theres more power to play with.

Also, the XR6 will have some sort of turbo lag?? Does anyone know how bad the lag will be? I have heard that the Impreza WRX's turbo doesn't kick in until it hits 4000RPM. And until the turbo kicks in, the performance is shocking. Anyway, theres no such lag with the XR8.

Just to clarify, how much heaver is a XR8 to a XR6?
