I think I've fallen into the parallel universe where everything is reversed. Either that or I've got to stop listening to the news and reading newspapers. Also I shouldn't have scoffed the Easter eggs and the big chocolate bunny I found last night just before I went to bed, so I didn't get a lot of sleep and I'm a bit dark on the world today. Plus the beer.
Anyway, random recent sample.
Deaf lesbians, and others, want to have deaf kids so their "culture" isn't lost. I thought ears were there to hear with and that if they didn't work you'd got a dud set, not a cultural bonus. Why stop there? Get a paraplegic's kid and cut their spinal cord at birth. Be a bit brutal when a full size kid is born to dwarfs who want to preserve their "culture", which some do. What about my culture? I don't like gangs with knives and machetes and guns that commit crimes and then can't even be described as Asian or Middle Eastern appearance because that is racist.
US Supreme Court upholds right to manufacture virtual child pornography. I can't think of one legitimate reason for making the stuff, real or virtual. Still, the important thing is that the First Amendment right to free speech has been upheld. Every parent will sleep better for knowing that, while some sicko is morphing their kid's face onto a video nasty.
People in Melb are getting up some committee to ban billboards with good looking sheilas on them, even when they're selling products solely to women, like hosiery. I suppose that makes sense, when you can go the beach and see sheilas running around with no tops on.
Protesters (usual rent a mob who bludge on the rest of us via the dole while telling us what capitalist oppressive shits we are for working and paying taxes so they can avoid work) go to Woomera and release people who have been found not to be genuine refugees, give them a bottle of water and let them go into the desert. Big bloody favour to everybody.
And so on.
Has the world completely lost the ability to distinguish between good and bad, right and wrong, and commonsense and plain bloody stupidity?
Maybe this is the consequence of living in societies where most of the major problems like epidemic disease, true poverty, and real oppression and systemic injustice have been largely solved - it forces the professional whingers to invent new problems to give them something to fill in their time.
Am I the only who thinks it's time to say: ENOUGH!

And this is why the best (I'm not including me in that) people aren't running the country or the states, because anybody who's got any self-respect and decency and integrity and intelligence automatically lacks the rat-cunning, totally self-centred, and completely unprincipled personality that it takes to be a politician of any influence.

I could beleive my ears when I heard that shit about the Virtual Child Pornography...(wish I was a deaf lesbian then I wouldn't have had to listen to it...)
Anyway, the rationale that it violates the first ammendment seems a load of BS to me..The first ammendment guarantees free speech and freedom of expression, does that mean that all americans have the right to write about, create images of, or similar of any illegal activity...or does the fact that it is a "virtual" image make it better. If so what about fake hand guns and their usage in armed robberies, does that make it just robbery???
I dunno the whole worlds seems to have gone slightly loopy, and all semblance of common sense has gone out the window..

A part Aboriginal, female, deaf lesbian on an IVF program and restricted to a wheelchair. Preferably unemployed and living in State supplied housing you must also be a supporter of all minorities and almost extinct creatures .
Vote on the far left, protest at anything (whether you understand the issues or not), read the Herald Sun and never miss an episode of either A Current Affair or Jerry Springer.
