X-Box will be out on March 2002 in Australia. One game I will be looking forward to is Project Gotham Racing. Just had a look at some of the videos on here:

Yes but who will bother to buy one when Australia is being treated as second class citizens and have to wait for x box until "early 2002" so that the US can be supplied?

Yeah, I've seen those videos. Very impressive indeed. I showed it to a few people here and they thought it was real (I showed the Ferrari.....only the flashing directional signs were the only obvious giveaways that it was computer generated). But hey, been there, done that with GT3 on PS2.

That is the way of the world on many fronts.

PS2 was the same actually just about all consoles went this way.

PS2 already have major market penetration (3 million consoles and counting) that will be hard for X-Box, but especially gamecube to counter. I think the Gamecube will be much like the Dreamcast - a dud! X-Box will struggle, console owners probably have a PS2, and if you own a beast PC then the X-Box might seema backward step.

I agree Venom and would like to add that software support will be the single biggest influence on the impact of Xbox.

If you own a PS2 I think you are allready a console type person so maybe you will be lining up for both. The games will decide which unit has the biggest impact. TheXbox is hugely impressive interms of power and game developing soft ware with some very important third party developers signing up. If microsoft strat to get exclusive or prioity launch control as Sony have in the past it might be a different story

Holy **** batman what do i do? The wife has offered to get ps2 for xmas:s6: but i told her to hang out for 2002 for xbox release.I already have a fairly good pc. ps2 is under 500 bucks...xbox will be around 700 dollar mark. Someone make decision for me!:crazy1:
