I have an XD Falcon Duel Fuel column Auto, How hard would it be to put a Ford 6 Cylinder Turbo motor into it, I am willing to spend around $ 20,000. I went to ford and i asked them if i can purchase a motor and trans and they told me nicely to leave.....
Can anybody help me...Also can you please tell me if you could put a BA v8 Bonnett to suit the XD, I am very fussy with gaps and line ups.

Saw an engine advertised for $7.5k at a Ferntree Gully wrecker, including computer etc. Chasing wreckers will be your best bet.

As for the bonnet, a BA bonnet would not fit on an XD, you would need to get a panel beater to do a "cut & paste".

That seems to be the going price or thereabouts.

That XD is pictured on the Street Machine Association of SA website too.
