Re: XE ESP 351 a slug?? Isthis what killed the V8 program?
Clevo's... hrmm clevo's.
Anyway, if i had one, this is what i would do.
Firstly I would blueprint it, clevo's love to be balanced with nice strong but lightweight internals. This is where clevo's just come into there own. I would then stick on some 4v heads (not 4 valve, the model 4v, massive port heads) with a specific clevo header+exhaust setup, EFI with the 90mm throttle body on the highrise duel plane manifold (The perfect all round performer for up to about 300kw (crank)) i guess.
Thats about it.
You have a strong base to start with, blueprinted with all the right internals, it breaths brilliantly from both ends and it has the right fuel control. The dynamics of the engine simply come into there own and make the numbers for you, you don't have to do much else for a basic, strong engine.
[edit] Or you could just get a crate motor with all the SVO gear in it for about 20 grand and have 400hp out of the box..... Either way is all good!
