XR Wagons????

Just thought I'd raise this on the board. Lately I have seen quite a few brand new XR Wagons.. I thought they had stopped the idea of the XR wagon when AU was launched, but they seem to popping up again. Are they coming out of the factory like this or could it be a dealer option type thing??

Anyway, great to see them getting about again, they look fantastic IMO.

JEM:

Do they have all the usual XR badging/interior etc. Or is it just the front bar?

Ive heard of some dealers in queensland fitting XR fronts to some wagons. Not sure if they are real or replica kits. I don't think Ford are doing XR wagons from the factory..

Personally I think its a Option ford should run once a year make a 100 of them in one go. Should have no problems selling them.

Sure look diffrent, as do wagons with Fairlane fronts or utes with Fairlane fronts.

To be honest mate I couldn't tell if they had the badging etc. I've always seen them while driving so it can be tough sometimes.

Next time I see one I will try to take notice of badging and stuff.

I can confirm that it's a dealer fitted option. My other half works at a Ford dealer in Sydney and they have been fitting the XR front bar to wagons (& Forte sedans) with the XR wheels and lowered suspension since AU1.

Its not a Tickford or Ford endorsed mod, when I went to get mine I approached Tickfords about an XR8 wagon and they said there was no plans to produce one, no Tickford enhancements are fitted to the cars.
BUT I WANT ONE........
