just wanted to find out if anyone has seen or knows about a Phantom XR6 Turbo sedan around the Geelong area with number plates "PIRATE"?
If no-one lays claim to it, i'm going to announce that i have just seen the new FPV XR6 Turbo, also known as 'F6 Typhoon'. It was driving along Settlement Rd about 20 minutes ago, and it certainly is an eye catcher.
The first thing i noticed is the extra large wing on the back, resembles the GT wing, but has got a few extra inches of height on it. The wheels are impressive, i only got a quick glance at them stationary, but they are almost identical to the picture of them in one of the other threads. Again, very eye catching. I was wondering what the badge on the left hand side of the boot was, until i realised what i was looking at cause it was the 'FPV' badge.
I didn't get a look at the front cause i was turning off before i realised what it was, but it did look the goods.
Would of if i had of known earlier what i was looking at. It just didn't click until i realised it was an FPV badge. I was just turning off when i thought that it might be it, and believe me, i was sitting at the next roundabout thinking if i should go after him!!
Just seems different to have personalised plates, i think that was the other thing to throw me?
yeh thats what i reckon... i dont think it would have fpv badging yet if it were the real deal cause as we know they have been leaving the territory unbadged, and it will be unveiled in 2 weeks at the MMS... so yer, that and the plates lead me to suggest it might have been a mock up... then again the mags might prove that it was :S... just lookin forward to the real deal!!! :s6:
