Was visiting Parkes, NSW today (where Ihave one of my businesses) and drove pass the local Ford Dealership on the Newell Highway. When low and behold a sight caught my eye. A new XR (to be confirmed later as an XR8) with full bodykit in the new FTE color of Blueprint. It looked absolutely amazing. Have seen on a T3 and a the Pursuit 250 Ute, but never an XR. I tell ya' as Im looking at a new XR right now (after selling my 2000 XR6 VCT) I was looking at a Venom Red (with Ford Racing Body Kit) but boy oh boy its got me a thinking!!...anyway are these babies common, if not how the $&*@# did it get to a country town in central west NSW!!!!...

Also saw an XR and an XR ute in Blueprint at the Warrnambool Ford dealer in country Vic.

I was told that this was only going to be a T series colour. Probably too popular to remain so.

yeah i was pretty amazed when i drove pass, just give the local ford delaer there a cursory glance, this time i nearly ran off the road...had alook around itm the exterior is standard XR8(read very nice) with full ford racing body kit, silver highlghts, 17" wheels etc. the 220 badge was on the back, which killed my first thought of a 250kw version!!, and inside was also standard XR kit...it does turn heads!!

Saw this one while driving past the local dealer (was a little hard to miss) and thought it deserved to be captured on film :s4

Suffice to say it was gone, presumed sold the next day!

Introducing blue print into the AUIII range was pure brilliance.

Has anyone seen any non XR/T series in blueprint? Fairmont Ghia or LTD? Will these appear as run outs as the AV model draws closer?

is it becoming a standard color, for just XR8s or can XR6 be obtained in the color. Is a limited run, so first in best dress or whats the story I wonder!!

Blueprint is the first of our "hero" colours and will run for a while yet. But as the BTO song goes "bbbbaby you aint seen nothing yet!"
