Guys(and girls) i bought a xr8 220kw au 5 speed not even a week ago, as im still waitting for the car to be ready from the dealer, im wondering how fast the thing is? can anyone help me out here, id like some raw facts about the car and how do you guys think it will perform against the vx ss II and what the differance is between the two in car lengths?.....during the test drive the car went very good, and it felt awsome...so any help would be appreciated

i think this is a unique ford, its a blueprint with silver colour coded sideskirts and im getting a cream lather interior done, which is what im waiting on....the car has done 50 thousand klicks and i picked it up for $34000 top condition...it looks like the xr8 rebel but blueprint version...

I remember Motor Mag did a test between the two cars and although the SS was slightly quicker down the drag strip that was about the only thing that went the way of the Holden. They were full of praise of the Falcon, saying that it rocks and all, I guess that is one reason that the BA XR8 was a bit of a letdown for some people, because they had the balance and handling about right with the final AU as well as a ballsy engine.

lol, what he means is GenIII's are notorious for going through more oil than petrol.

Congrats on the choice of car,
They are slightly slower in a straight line than the VX SS but take it around some corners and it will leave the holden for dead
