I remember dealers saying that the XR8 Rebel was a sellout before they were made.

Well, a friend of the handbrake bought one a coupla weeks ago, and now I talk to a pilot at the Flying Rat to find he bought one roughly same time.

Last week when I was in Melbourne I noticed Rebels advertised in the paper still.

Looks to me like some dealers were scaring away buyers?

I've seen more in the dealerships here than on the on the road. Not a good thing....

I really don't understand some dealers. Surely they're there to move metal. With the way some dealers treat their prospective customers it's no wonder cars are still on the lots. You reap what you sew..

I was told by the dealer when I went to order my Rebel that the only come in red, I wanted blue so I got an XR8 instead, which the only thing I would like of the Rebel is the body kit, every thing else is the same

NZ XR8

I got offered "the last of 25 Rebels imported into NZ" last week from my dealer (JAF). Don't know what colour it was - didn't want to risk getting too interested! :s3 :s3

I haven't seen any of these 25 on the road yet.
