G'day all, just following up from my last thread, I seem to have hit yet another hitch or 2 with my project. I've bought and paid for a new engine, but I cannot yet arrange its delivery because I do not have Steven's engine crane. I cannot pick it up because none of my cars would fit it, except the EA which is off the road.
My other complaints is that time is not on my side and the Laser is starting to become a serious money pit (and don't get me started on the Mazda). I'm trying to track down the remaining parts for a reasonable dollar, and the most important is an AU bellhousing for which I've been quoted $70 at FTG. I might just have to go with it. I don't think I'll be paying $50 for their EA GL garnish though, or $50 each for non-electric EA mirrors .
I bought a couple of EA engine mounts today and was charged $240 . See this thread for details.
Anyway, the crane thing is my biggest bother. Working 7 days doesn't help things at all. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.
Cheers.

hehe ok a few points, there is an art to fitting it inside the car and Jase is the only one who has done so to my knowledge? Secondly I'm not fussed over who drops it off. I will amply reimburse all associated costs though.
Thirdly, I'm still going to need more help to set it up and get the thing into the garage. I wish they could just deliver it on a truck with a crane.

Turboing your car hey Jack. What is with you guys down there did you all win lotto.SPHELL has done it and Rmyers is in the process of doing it.Boy Iam going to have to get into what you guys have.Good stuff.
G'day Lukey, that's right matey. Initially I'll be running stock AU engine and EL auto, which means I'll be slower than the best N/A sixes in the club until I can afford to rebuild them. But the sky is the limit long term. I'm sure it will all be worth this drama.
Cheers, Jack
