So I was heading into Dubois Sunday night. I was going down main street when the light turned yellow. Keep in mind I was going about 45mph, and wasn't very far from the light. So I gave it some gas, and got through the light just before it turned red. Just as I passed though the intersection, I noticed a police cruiser waiting at the red light now just turning green after I passed through. So he pulls out, and glues himself to my ass as I approach the next red light. I knew I was getting pulled over. So I pull out nice and slow, keeping the noise down, and we go about 150ft before he turns his lights on. I pull over, and proceed to get my license out of my wallet, and other items. I couldn't find my registation though.
So he puts the spot light on my car, and then procceds to apprach my door. He hangs back from my door. Here's the convo.

Him: Hi, I'm :insert name here: from the Dubois police department. Do you ahve any idea why I pulled you over?
Me: Yeah, I cut that light a little close.
Him: Yeah, well you should've slowed down insted of speeding up.
Me: Yeah, but I didn't think I couldn've stopped, and it would;ve been worse to end up in the middle of the intersection.
Him: Do you have your license and registration.
Me: *hands licesne and insurance card*
Him: Do you have registartion?
Me: I can't find the car *digs through glove box*
Him: Well, oyu didn't steal it or anything? Carjack it?
Me: *laughs a little* No sir.
Him: *shines flashlight into back of car, seeing stripped interior*
Me: I'm redoing the interior that's why it's like that.
Him: *sees gun case in back* Going hunting tomorrow?
Me: yeah
Him: What do you got in there .30-06?
Me: no, .30-30
Him: IS that one of thos *uses hand motions to descibe what he means*
Me: Lever action?
Him: That's it!
Me: Yeah
Him: Those are sweet. Well, hey...*hands licese back* youjsut be careful ok?
Me: Ok
*shake hands*
Him: Get one tomorrow. *walks away*

So I got off the hook. But this is where the poll comes in. When a light turns yellow when you're approaching, do you stop no matter what, or go if you're close enough?

I go almost 90% of the time depending on what part of town I'm in. (i.e. a well policed area)

For me, it depends on how close I am, how many cars are around, how hard I have to slam on the breaks and so on...I usually try and stop.

Depends on the car, 97 no go, 90 go, others depends on what the "oppostion" looks like :)

If I'm already past the start of the white line divider for the left hand turn lane..... I go through it.

Well, the go people have it so far.

Now of course I wouldn't go if I was too far back fromt he light. That's just common sense. This involves your own judgement, and of course what you're driving. If I was in the stang(91LX like I was driving last week, I wouldn't even have attempted it.
