Yikes!!

Suddenly I feel a lot better about the very few problems I've had with my XR8.

This off the LS1 Forums.

Gotta love how marketing can overcome a product lacking quality. :s5

(edit - update) - There's onto another forum topic header due to response. http://www.ls1.com/ls1forum/Forum29/HTML/003961.html

And yet people are still buying them...???

I suppose every manufacturer has its days (ie: Ford with EA), but thats quite a list of common probs.

I cant resist......How the hell can Holden bag on Ford for a few recalls when they have this much **** going wrong with their cars? Its got me stuffed.

Yep agree.

I personally like the AU shape (AU1 Forte grill excluded) but I know a lot of people who don't. It doesn't matter to them that the AU's are a great car, to them they are butt ugly.

CRIKEY!!!

i should print that off and show it to all my holden-loving friends! hahaha

XLR8

i can do a list for all the problems i've had so far!

1. steering rack replaced at 38K
2. air con recycle button replaced at 30-35K
3. i had them replace that rubber grommet, or whatever they called it, but that's only because i took the car in for a service
4. when i got the car, the rubber seal on top of the windshield got unstuck so they had to glue it back in place

that's it! the only major problem was the steering rack and nothing else. the car has done 41K so far and it's had a pretty tough life so far. i just hope it continues this way.

Some of those problems are new to me and I used to be a warranty manager at a Holden dealer here in Canberra.
