Are you a Perfectionist when it comes to your Car??
Hey All,
Out with a group of mates today...well ive been dubbed a "Perfectionist" and a "Whinger!". Why...because i get pissed off when people muck around with things in my car...namely:
- Mucking about with Climate/Temperature Controls every second
- Mucking about with the Stereo every second! (the volume is fine!!)
- Adjusting the seats every 5 minutes
- Playing with Power Ancillaries every second!
- Generally not taking care (is it too much to ask to put your feet on the mats i provide!.
- Slamming of Doors (i hate that!)
Well i dont know about other people but i dont like things to be mucked around with...when i get into other peoples cars i dont play around, why play around in mine!. Am i being a Whinger??

Re: Are you a Perfectionist when it comes to your Car??
Just sounds like your actually value and want to look after your car to me, which is the best way to be.
I get a little picky about stuff like that too sometimes, i'm fairly relaxed now though as the EF is too far gone to save now !
Besides, for those who call you a 'whinger', the option remains to walk, and i'm more than happy to let you out on the side of the road should it be deemed neccesary.
Re: Are you a Perfectionist when it comes to your Car??
Yes, though the state of my car at the moment leaves a little to be desired.
Driver's side quarter panel doesn't match in colour to the rest of the car. Bonnet isn't much better where it's been resprayed.
I had a shot at painting the spoiler....we'll leave it at that.
I also had a shot at painting the door handles....with a can.
Countless hail dents.
A few scratches here and there, they don't bother me toooo much though.
12 volt ignition source for the BBM and thermos - the 12 volt line for the heater on the oxy sensor. Oh god dodgey as.
I replaced the thermos because of the marks the water pump pulley had left. The old ones still worked, but I still replaced them.
Re: Are you a Perfectionist when it comes to your Car??
l am with you peuty i cant stand people disrespecting ORSMXR by making him dirty, slaming the doors and the worst thing is leaving finger prints on paintwork, also i hate when it rains that means 7 times this week l have to wash it again lol
Re: Are you a Perfectionist when it comes to your Car??
I drive like a granny, tell everybody to get crap of their feet and not to slam doors(with they still do). I hate taking it shopping and in fact I hate driving it because i get to paranoid someones going to do something to it. I think I have a problem. Soon I'm going to buy a bomb with a roadworthy so I don't have to worry.
Re: Are you a Perfectionist when it comes to your Car??
Your not fussy mate, I think your normal, just because we appreciate our vehicle's and look after them, it really annoy's me when people do what you have described, and it really piss's me off when you tell them and they say "it's only a car".

Re: Are you a Perfectionist when it comes to your Car??
I know my car is now 11 years old, so I'm not worried about a few tiny scratches, but I hate it when people slam my doors, somehow have the inability the put two feet on a mat that takes up 90% of the footwell, lean on my car etc. They say comeon, its only a falcon, but its my hobby, and my pride and joy. I don't call it perfectionism, I call it taking care of what matters most to you.
