OK, so there are those out there who prefer the 8 to the TQE, to varying degrees. But you also choose Ford over others, particularly Holdens, right? So what if you had to choose between an F6 and a Commie SS? Do you choose the 8 over the Ford? Or does brand loyalty win in the end and you go with the F6? And what factors come into it? Rumble of the V8? Power and performance (kW or Nm)? Handling? Brand? Features? Quality of the car? Price?
I dont include NA 6s in this coz that's not fair....but would any V8 freaks choose any 8 in another brand over ANY 6 which is a Ford? And would you chose the 8, even if the turbo 6 performed better?

I love my V8s, but more to the point, I love Rear Wheel Drive, high horsepower and even higher torque. In saying this, FPV F6 Typhoon please. Considering the Typhoon is an FPV, wouldn't it be more fair to say Typhoon or Clubsport? Or Typhoon or GTS300? I'd still choose the F6 Typhoon over both those cars.
270kW 550Nm would be enough for about a week. Then I'd take advantage of the ease of modification that the 4.0 DOHC 24v VCT Turbo Six prodives me with. Easier to modify for cheap then any other brand new car on sale.
Thanks guys... I am currently contemplating whether to get F6 or not. Reasons for it against 8 are:
- in my price range, just
- cheaper to run (fuel, rego - but not big deal with rego)
- more Nm in lower rev range
- easier to mod than 8 (I already have chip)
- I LOVE the F6 wheels
- performance generally hard to beat
- lighter, perhaps better performance
- it cant sound THAT bad
- generally, bang for buck
And point taken above, re Clubbie, etc, probably would have been fairer comparison given F6 = FPV.
For the record, I choose ANY Ford over ANY Holden....

Hahaha XRchic whats with the Falcon Vs. Magna / Commodore Comparos all about, can't you make your mind up??
Get a V8 and stop pussyfooting around i say...
I couldn't buy a Commodore V8 over a Ford, id rather a standard LPG XT then an SS...
Fair point! I often stick these questions up as result of debates with others (not on this site) about these things and then curious to see what you guys think.
My only real difficulty is choosing between F6 and GT, reasons above would probably go for F6. Would never buy Magna. Just making that clear.

As long as it's a FORD that's all that matters.
Cheers John
