you think you have problems
i have just watched today tonight in perth and they featured a kid from my wifes school. this poor kid, brett, has a rare form of cancer. he has a tumour on his spine. brett had to make a decision...leave the tumour and die within 6 months or have it removed, never walk again and live for maybe two years. brett decided to have the tumour removed.
my wife tells me that brett is one of the nicest kids at her school. he has made a decision that i would hate to make, and he has done it with his head held high and the fighting spirit that has made this country great. brett views this as just one more hurdle and he is going to tackle it head on.
his mates from school rang a local radio station who organised for brett to go skydiving, harley ride, limo ride and helicopter ride yesterday. yesterday was also the last day brett would walk.
when you hear stories like this, your own troubles pale in comparison.
