Your favourite car Mod

Ok, everyone on here has done some mod to a car at some stage. So I want to know, what mode did you do (to what car) that was your favourite?
Big or small, visable or not, home done or professionally fitted - it matters not. What was the one mod that really made you stand back and go YES!!!

And for fun, which one made you sorry you ever considered it?

Wheels, coz that's basically all I've done (so far)!! Can't believe the difference it has made. It looks so good now that it is nice and clean and I have matching clear indicators... Yummy!

Regret: Painting stereo surround silver. *Shakes head* Gotta do it properly and choose a better colour next time...

Favourite- Ditching the 6 and manual box and plonking in a 351 and auto trans. So much more power and even being auto pulls so much harder. Bags em up no worries with no brake in the dry. Nearly brand new 235 tyres.

Regret- Spending $4000 on the above said 6 to make it go faster (but not as fast as my 8) only to have it die 8 months later.

Anyhow, I should contribute to my own thread.

Best mod I ever did was adding the Extractors to my old XD many years ago.. all going out a single 2 3/4 inch pipe.. single muffle, nothing else. What a difference that made.

Biggest regret? Well, lets say I just dont do the mods myself anymore... always better to have a professional fit them.. in my case anyhow.

Re: Your favourite car Mod

Well nearly everything on my XW will be modified so i'll have to say the whole car, but mainly the transfer of 6 to an 8, auto to manual and borg warner to 9 inch would be the major ones.

And for the one i shouldnt have done, well im sorry i ever got underneath my car and stripped the whole undercarriage to bare metal, god knows what i was thinking.

Re: Your favourite car Mod

Hard to pick from a big bag but ... certainly the most satisfying was fitting a turbo and intercooler to a ZL - no outside mods except for mags so it was a real sleeper, and very very fast.
