Re: 1986 Bronco EFI Wiring

Thanks Brian

I'll hopefully get it running in a month or so. I'm just waiting for a new flywheel to arrive from Summit before I can fire up the engine.

Cheers
Tris

Re: 1986 Bronco EFI Wiring

No problem. I hope you get it all sorted out.

Just out of curiosity, why was the wiring harness totally messed up like that in the first place? You may have a mystery short in there that someone was looking for and never found.

Anyway, feel free to email if you need any more info.

Brian

Re: 1986 Bronco EFI Wiring

Hi Brian

I have no idea why the wiring was destroyed. It was too much of a job for anyone else to take on over here in NZ so it was very cheap. Hopefully it will run OK after all the effort.

In case it doesn't, I'll convert it to carb and be done. These engines don't run a roller cam do they - I pulled a pushrod and it is about 3/4" longer than a mustang 5.0 so I'm guessing not.

Thanks again for your help
Tris

Re: 1986 Bronco EFI Wiring

I'm not sure about the '86 but I do know my '92 351 has the roller cam. Pushrod length is definitely a decent way to guess though.

Hope you get it all worked out!
