confused 351 M looses power when warm

Help! I have a 79 Bronco with a 351 M. The truck runs great, but when it's upto temp. and after 6-8 miles or so, the engine looses power. I have power back when I get down to about 40 MPH or so. I have changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, EGR gasket, and a few vac lines, I also removed the cat thinking it may be clogged. I'm at a real loss here. The truck will sit and run like it just came off the line. Also, the smog pump belt was off when I bought truck. Since we don't have smog checks here in Michigan, I just left it alone. If anyone can help, please do. I bought this for a toy, but a toy is no fun if you can't play with it!
