86 bronco died (new engine, modular and computer)

My mom just put a new motor into her truck and there's nothing but problems since it came home from the shop. She said yesterday o her way home from work it felt like the computer was going because it would go but be like its slowly dying. So we changed the computer out of it last night. She drove it for an hour no problems at all. Come this morning she goes to leave for work and she comes in. Dan help me push truck of the road. She says it backfired and it was dead. It has brandnew engine (used replaced computer and used replaced modular.) and suggestions or helpful tips would be awesome

Take it back to the shop who have just fitted the engine , tell them of your problems and get them to check it out .

Definately, sounds like the timing chain might be off a tooth.
