vg89bronco Registered User Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: Texas Posts: 1	'89 Ford Bronco II broken differential I have an '89 Ford Bronco II with over 235,000 miles and am the original owner. It has a manual transmission (no 4x4). I was driving at 15 MPH in first gear when all of a sudden the truck jerked and stopped. It wouldn't want to move forward in first gear and then moments later.....I saw that something in the differential had broken and caused the fluid to drain out. Before the incident.....the truck didn't give me ANY symptoms of anything going bad......it just broke down. I opened the diff. cover and saw that a part was broken and other parts had gotten damaged. Anyone know what could have caused this?
