Hi all,

I have a coolant leak on the passenger side of the firewall from a non connected hose below the thing (technical term) that looks like is covered in aluminum foil. Could this be a heater core drain?

More than likely a condensate drain for the AC, which is also under the heater core. Sounds like the cores leaking. Summers here, try plugging both hoses to the heater core and see if it goes away.

Thanks CatSkinner. I plugged the lines and tested. Leak stopped. Replaced heater core and seems to hold the liquid.
