Hello All, I have a 92 Bronco with an E4OD tranny. I am having problems getting the overdrive on while driving. If the lever is in park I can push the button and the light will turn on. When in drive the light will not come on... Any thoughts? Thanks.

The wire may be broken and when in park, it still connects. Pull the column covers off and see what it looks like there.

OD is on. The light means it's OFF. Look closely - it says "O/D OFF". Click my tan CV in my signature & read the captions in the Steering Column album.

My mistake. The OD off is not working. I have the steering shroud partially off. The keyswitch and steering wheel adjust lever not cooperating.

That was easy... The pictures helped a great deal! I have the wires disconnected and no longer have continuity from the switch side to the connector. I will remove the shift lever now. Is this wire replaceable?

OK. Found the wires pinched when I removed the switch! I will work on the repair now. Will let you know.
