Bronco II window wont go up or down

IM not sure whats causing this problem. Its got power windows the one window is stuck down. I dont this its the motor because i opened the door and looked at the dome light and tried hitting the button and the light didnt dim. So im pretty sure its not the window. any ideas? i want to get my truck on the road.

Re: Bronco II window wont go up or down

I have an 86 Bronco I bought from a tow yard that had a similar prob. However, I could hear the motor working when I hit the window switch. I opened it up to discover that there is a little plastic interlock between the motor and the window lift. It was stripped. I used JB Weld to patch the two together figuring it would get me by for a couple of weeks and it works perfectly...so I'm goin with it.

I suggest you take it apart and see what's goin on. Keep in mind you will probably have to drill out some rivetts to get the motor out.....and replace them with short nuts and bolts from home depot to get it back together.

good luck
