confused Eratic Idle/engine dying

Could use some direction to start. Usually when AC is on (but not always) when engine is NOT up to operating temp. Put in gear step on brake and I get a idle from 600-1200/1300 once or twice then dies(only happened 1 or 2 times w/o AC) I've checked for vacuum leaks and found 2(fixed)also checked the IAC- clean (no carbon) I will crack out the meter and check for volts and ohms this weekend but any other areas to look at? W AC on idle is about 550(too low?)Also when AC is turned on/off the only idle change is down(700-550) Am I even looking in the right direction? Any help much appreceated! Also can give more info to help!!!!!
