help!! no electricity
i have an '88 2.9L Bronco 2. i moved the battery from the engine compartment to the trunk and it ran fine for about a month. after sitting in the driveway for a couple days it lost everything, so assuming it was the starter seizing up i replaced that. i also replaced the starter soloniod about a week before this. there was still no sound when i tried turning it over, but with a wiggle of the S- wire off the solonoid it turned over once. assuming there was a bad connection on it i replaced the boot on the end of it with a electrical circle coupling. now i am not sure if i did or not but i may have switched the battery wires on the terminal by accident not paying attention but the solonoid smoked so i took the wires off and replaced the solonoid once again. still nothing. i now have NO power past the solonoid, this includes headlights dash lights, interior lights, you wouldnt think there was a battery if i hadn't checked it with a multimeter. i checked all the in-line fuses off the solonoid and everything in the fuse box. i have jumped the solonoid (using a screwdriver) and the engine cranks but there seems to be no gas or spark. i replaced the relay to the roll-over switch with hopes of it being that but again i have nothing. has anyone had this problem or have any ideas as to what it may be???
