Re: How to (Tailgate motor)

If your motor is not working and the window is in the down position its going to be kinda tough to do. Take off the rectangular lookin plate on the inside of the tailgate then look for the brackets that the window bolts to. There are 4 nuts you need to take off in order to take the window out. (It's much easier to work on the motor with the window completley out) Two of the nuts are on the left and the other 2 are over on the right. Be sure also to take off all the weather seals off the tailgate. If you dont the seals could get torn and your defrosting wires on the window could easily get broke. If you can get those 4 nuts off the window will slide right out and you will have full access to the window motor in order to work on it. Another thing you can do to is go to your local Autoparts store and buy a Haynes Repair Manual for your year of bronco. They are the berries when it comes to doing repair work.
