i've just recently gotten a full size 86 bronco. after a stop it will start going like normal until it hits a speed somewhere between 15-30 (it varies) and it stops accelerating and it seems like it wants to just shut off and there's a little bit of a chugging/gasping sound coming from up front. then after a little while the engine will start going again. this only happens after it's been driven for a while, never happens within short distances, unless of course i've been driving a while and park and then start it up again shortly. it does it both uphill and down but obviously it is extremely more noticeable and harder to get going up a hill. another problem that could or could not be related is when i do things that are slow moving, such as parking between cars, it will just die all together and i have to restart it every time, for example i try to pull forward a little bit between two cars and then reverse to straighten up and then put it back in drive and then start going forward and then it shuts off completely. i just changed the o2 sensor and ignition coil so it can't be any of that. not sure if this could be related to any of this but there is no muffler on it and the pipe is cut pretty close to the cat. any ideas or help would be much appreciated.
