I have an 88 Ford Bronco and do quite a bit of muddin with it. I've been havin a problem with gettin water on my plug wires and causing the engine to miss and lose power. After 10 min or so of letting it sit and the water evaporates it's fine. I have replaced the plug wires 3 different times and still no improvement. And these plug wires I have are a good quality plug wire.....well atleast they are supposed to be. Anybody got any suggestions or a brand of plug wires they reccomend?
Dont now if this is of any help, but i have heard of people putting small groves in the dizzy cap were the ht lead go on and then securing the leads with plastic cable ties, could also be done to the sparkplug ends as well, or a little bit of silicon.

Give the cap and wires a good coating of quality hair spray.
Im thinkin the water is getting on the plug wires down by the manifold where they snap on to the plugs. Cuz about 10 min of letting it sit and idle it is fine. It's just aggrivating cuz I dang near burried it the other day cuz I had a huge power loss cuz of the engine missin. If that wouldn't of happend I woulda made it through just fine. If I put silicon on there though wont it melt off???
