frown Size of tires

I own a 95 ford bronco and i am having it lifted 4inches and i was wondering if anyone could tell me what is the biggest size of tire i could put on my bronco after the lift is done. I have been told the biggest is 33's but just the other day i was told i could put 35's on it, i would rather have 35's so i would like to know if i can do that with out having to cut anything or having to worry about rubbing. Thanks

I'm running 32's right now on the stock suspension but they do rub the front sway bar and the radius arm at full lock just a little. 33's will EASILY fit your rig with a 4" suspension lift and the max is about 35's without rubbing while off roading.

Hey 92, Back up. Pain but tell ya later. Tiger, Ive got a 95 also with a Pro Comp lift on it. I have 15X12.50X35's on it and have no problems with the tires. The make sure your ball joints are good before you do it because mine werent and I went through a front set of tires in NO time. Also, ya will have problems in the rear brake lines. you need to get extended brake lines or else. Hope this helps

Tire Sizes

Hey 92, I run 32s on my 96 Bronco XLT but have 2" leveling coils in the front end to get rid of the rub while turning. Works pretty well. Recently I took it out during a fishing trip and tore the front passanger side shock off of the lower mount. I run the correct size Rancho 5000 shock. Needless to say that I have to replace the lower mounting bracket. Anybody ever have this happen or hear of this happening? Byproduct of the lift?

Yeah, definitely as a result of the lift. You said you had the correct shock on there, but was it the correct shock for the stock suspension or for the 2" lift?

If I had to say what caused it, I'd say you need to go with a slightly longer shock to get the full travel without putting any load on the shock and its mounts.

Hey 92, The shock is for 1-3" of lift. Do you think that the shock body was to long and it tore the mount? The iron did look a little fatigued. Most of the wheeling I did during the trip was running trails however I did hit a couple of bumps at speed (30 MPH). I didn't notice the problem until I saw the shock hanging down at the end of the day. The ride was not that different.

I'm not a suspension guy, but if the length of the shock wasn't to blame.....the only other thing I could think of would be that the lift changed the geometry of the suspension enough to cause the shock to bind under certain conditions. I may be wrong, but don't you have to use a drop bracket for the radius arms and sway bar to keep the stock geometry?
