Stumble, bucking and jerking Bronco
I have a 1990 351W Bronco automactic trany. It started having a problem with bucking and hesition. When you first start it, it is fine. But after a minute or two. when you try to go above idle it stumbles, and for a split second losses rpm's. but then they jump up. If you press the pedal very slow it will gain rpm with no load. Once you get up to speed it seems to be ok, till you try to accelarate. The only light that comes on, is the O.D. light. I've checked the codes with a EZ link tester. The only code is the 99 which is the... Electronic pressure control solenoid curcuit failure light...( boy.... that is a mouthful)
I took it to a tranny shop and they said the code is caused by the engine problem and the tranny wouldn't make the engine run that way. I've checked everything i can think of.
I've found nothing wrong, i've checked igition, sensors, TFI module, EGR valve, fuel pressure KOEO holding 32 to 33 lbs, no bleed off problem, running it hold 41 lbs. I removed the computer ( ECU ), just to check the connection. It was fine and clean.
When the truck is at idle, it is just fine. no miss or shake.
I can use any help you folks can offer.
Thanks
Ray
