picked up a used torshan bar for my 1996 bronco (mine snapped) anyone know how difficult they are to replace? thanx scott

This shouldn't be too bad, just access the inside of the tailgate through the panel. The trick is to have the window up while the tailgate is down. This generally requires you to manually trip the tailgate-closed safety switch while it is open. Have a friend carefully guide the window out for support and rest the window on a saw horse or something while you are working.

Once inside, I think there are some plastic pieces that cover the end of the torshan bar where it snaps into the assembly. You may need to replace those in the process. Other than that, you may want a light and a mirror to see what you are doing in there. Good luck.

The t/g must be removed from the truck to install the torsion bar.
