frown TG Window

My back window quit working the other day. Anyone know where I can find a write up on it...It looks like www.BigBroncos.com is gone!

confused Huh?

It goes up and down but stops about 3 inches from the top and about 1.5 from the bottom.

What is the interlock switch and how do I identify it?

Gray, as dhulk advised: "...the interlock switch on the door latch on the drivers side of the tailgate..." look on the side of the gate, see that locking mechanism? driver's side.m interlock is inside the gate.
Sometimes a firm push on the driver's side of the gate up high helps if the prob is with the interlock.
........................................
here are some other t'gate links for you incl the wiring schematic..
http://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gall...hp?&albumid=71

look in the Links sections of my page
..................................................

and here:
http://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/bigbronco/2385.html

AND:
check the gasket to see if the glass is jamming on a torn piece of the thick rubber gasket...
spray pure silicone in the glass's tracks on both sides...
check the "gears" and the small bushings as shown in off-roads tech sect:
http://www.off-road.com/ford/bigbron...indow-fix.html

(it works now!)
..
and,
a quote:
"...If your motor is working, don't replace it!!! Take off the access panel, clean out the tracks, then apply white lithium grease to the gears and tracks. That should help speed it up..."
from:

After reading some of these links, I now understand...One of them mentioned closing the latch to raise the window with the gate open (my brain started working again at that point!)

I have experienced this prob before...I couldn't figure out where the sensor was....

ok Wolf
Good luck!
Also read this too...by Dustin!!!!!!....(need to support the glass when raising it w/tg down)..
http://users.superford.org/ylobronc/.../tailgate.html

"...Next, close the latch on the driver's side to allow the window to move while the tailgate is down. I moved the glass until it was halfway out. Make sure the glass is supported- I used an adjustable stand that was originally used as a table saw extension stand..."

and also look in my Gallery for the parts breakdown pics to see that interlock better
