Question Towing 5,000lb boat w/95 Bronco?

I have a 1995 Bronco 4x4 Eddie Bauer Edition with what I gather to be a stock rear bumper. This bumper looks to be a heavy duty bumper. What would my towing capacity be? I plan to tow a 24' Sea Ray (5,000lb) from the water to the house approximately 5 miles one way. I would only do this towing inthe winter time or an aproaching hurricane as I live on the gulf coast of Florida. Thanx!

You should be fine. The rear step bumper is very strong and I've towed a 7000 lb travel trailer using the stock rear bumper on my '92 Bronco without any problems.

Isn't the rear bumper rated at 5000 lb.
I'm not sure what the Bronco bumpers are like but if its like the one on my F150 you have to be careful if your turning becuase you might put gouges into it.
But if your real careful the distance you travel should be fine.

I think the factory step bumper is actually only rated at 4000 lbs, but I've never had any trouble with it pulling way over that on short distance tows. If I was towing 5000+ lbs regularly, I'd use a frame mounted hitch.
