Shouldnt my full size bronco easily tow a 15 ft jon boat with no problem?
I towed for the first time since getting it 6 months ago and found that it seemed to lack the acceleration and top speed especially going up slight grades on highway. It's got the tow package, 351 v8 and is clean as a top.
Otherwise it runs fine.
I expected it to run as fast as any other v8 under tow. Got me wondering what it will be like towing say a trailer closer to what it's rated for.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

It may go along with what gears you are running and the size of tires. Also check you tune-up on your engine, timing, wires, ect. Check the vacumn advance so make sure that it is working, under a load you may not be getting all the advance that the engine needs.
