2003 Ford Taurus SE, standard 6cyl, 26,000 miles. No Codes

Stalling problem on my daughter's car.
Engine issues- car engine will drop power- RPMs go from normal to like there
is no power (lasts less than a second), then kick back in. This will happen
repeatedly (each round maybe 2 seconds apart), one right after another.
When real bad, battery light comes on during the no-power stage, and will
even die. When this happens, the car might be able to be restarted immediately,
sometimes not, but it might just die again. All of this happens
most frequently after car has been going 45+ and is now going less than 35
mph.

I haven't had any hesitation outside of the loss of power.

I suspect the VSS or Crank Position Sensor?
Any advice?

Autozone will pull codes for free. That would can help lead in the right direction.

Idle air control valve needing cleaned / replaced ?

Went to autozone and no code read.
Cleaned AIC and throttle body using CRC products - no improvement.
Replaced AIC and car is now running just fine.
