The problem has been going on for a while now. after the car is warm and i put it into park the idle jumps between 600 and 800 rpms. i have had my 60k maintenance(at a dealer) on it and the thing still does it. anything ideas as to why it is still happening?

If it was doing it before the 60K maintenance and it was still doing it after the maintanence, take it back. It's called " hunting ". Needs to be put on a scan tool that does live data stream. 20 different things can cause that. Could be as simple as a
vacuum leak.

360ci

One of the lower cost 'potential' fixes is replacing the IAC or idle air control sensor located around the throttle body. It's fairly easy to replace with common tools, NAPA or another parts store it'll run for $30-40.
