05 Sable Tranny ??
Hey All,
I recently had to do the infamous tranny re-build on my wife's Sable. Bad pump, and torque converter splines, and a few other things. Car has 90k on it, and hoping the re-build will last another 90k, but at this rate, don't know
what my concern is, is what's the deal with fluid leaking out of the tranny filler tube? Before the re-build, I had the tranny serviced at one of those Lube places, and after, I noticed a bit of leakage on the ground and around the filler tube but the leak seemed to subside before I can take it back.
Months later, the tranny goes out, and i have it re-built by a Ford dealer. A week or so later, my wife notices tranny fluid leaks under the car.. So I notice it being all wet around the filler tube again.. thinking I'll take it back.. it stops leaking. I check the fluid level.. hot, in neutral on level ground, and it's right at the lower side of the hash marks... should I be concerned?? or is this a overfill issue, and these guys are just putting waay to much fluid?
