Hi guys, gotta problem with the Taurus. Check charging system light came on the other day. Did a backyard check. Started it up, pulled the battery cable off. Car died. Replaced the alternator with one from Autozone (only plae open on Sunday). Car starts runs drives good. Light still on. Battery guy said battery was on the low end but still good. Replaced the battery. Light is still on. Checked the 10 amp fuse, Light still on.
Any help?

What's the voltage at the battery with the engine running? Also, never unhook the battery on the newer cars. It can fry the PCM and many other items.
