Hey I have this car and I'm having some problems with it right now. Every once in a while I start driving around and the car seems to lose power or something.. like it still running but when I press on gas it doesn't do anything. And also when I turn the ignition key on their is this noise it makes.. think its the fuel pump...that doesn't always turn on.. So I'm wondering if its the fuel pump that could be causing all these problems.. or is there something else as well.. And would like the know where the Fuel Pump and Filter is located at. If ne one could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Fuel pump is in the tank, filter is just ahead of the passenger side rear tire. You can check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail where there is a schrader valve to connect a fuel pressure guage to. It looks like a tire valve stem.

Pressure should be ~40 lbs with key on engine off or no vacuum, 35 lbs with the engine running at idle and 30 lbs at high vacuum situations like coasting.

If changing the fuel filter make sure the new one has new plastic clips in them.
