Ok, I have got stuck with a 1996 mercury sable LS wagon, even though it is very ugly it gets me places and fits my surfboard so i have no problem with it. But the one thing that i want to do is upgrade the audio system because the current speakers are horrible and i need to upgrade the head unit.

I have found many kits for replacing the headunit but the kits are all for sables with knobs that are used for the AC and the stereo but my car has electronic buttons instead of knobs. do they make a kit where you can replace the headunit with this type of configuration. if not is their a way to change the electronics over to the knobs so i can use the headunit kit that uses the knobs.

Ok, well is there a way that you can run a sub box w/ amp off of it, am i better off just waitin till i get a different car.

I've added a sub and upgraded the speakers. But I did start with the MACH system.
