The nut sticking shield of chassis is loosen thus some noise is generated. When I went to a shop this afternoon, the mechanic directly remove the shield and he said it is OK but I am suspicious somehow since if there is a little rock on the road, it will hit chassis directly or be absorbed into the chassis, so, can anybody tell me is it OK?

I know quite a bit about vehicles in general, but never have I heard of a "shield of chassis". If you refer to a skid-plate, which protects underbody components then you'll be fine unless you plan to bottom out the vehicle on curbs. I know there are no underbody shields or plates on my '99. Only thing under there is an air dam to improve aerodynamics by deflecting air that would otherwise go under the vehicle and out the back, to around the sides for better flow.

Explain a bit more in regards to this 'shield of chassis' so others, and even myself, can help you out.
