2000 ford taurus 3.0 miss fire
I just recently put a new tranny in my 2000 ford taurus ses. Since i got it installed, i was recommended to do a tune up as well. probably five miles into the new tranny, i started to have a "studder" when I would press on the gas. It would happen from about idle to 1500 rpm. So I talked to my uncle who helped change out the tranny and he said it was a miss-fire and it would clear up with new plugs. So i changed out the plugs which wasnt easy, and it somewhat cleared up. then three days later, it got even worse than it was previously. it doesnt go away at all, and when its happening, you can hear it interfer with what you are listening to on the radio. I took the far to Auto Zone and had them hook up there hand held comp, and it said i had a cylinder 6 miss fire. so then i changed out the ignition coil, and it didnt change a thing. does any body have any ideas of what i could do to fix it, or am i better off with taking back to a mechanic? i do have some mechanical skills. i have the duratec 3.0 24 valve in my car. also, when i changed out the plugs, there was sand almost fully covering my plugs on cylinders 2 4 and 6. thanks for the help!
